To mark a decade of indulgence at King Street Townhouse, our January Afternoon Tea celebrates The Best of Ten Years – a curated collection of guest favourites and timeless creations that have defined our menus since 2015.
Over the years, our pastry team has delighted in reimagining flavours, textures and traditions – crafting menus that evolve with each season while keeping the essence of our signature style. In revisiting our most-loved bakes, we’ve selected those that have truly stood the test of time: beautifully balanced, full of flavour, and forever part of our story.
Expect a menu that’s both nostalgic and refreshing – where contrasts of colour, texture, and taste come together in perfect harmony.

Traditional Afternoon Tea
Our Traditional Afternoon Tea pays homage to the past 10 years, bringing back true favourites and much-loved classics - from our indulgent Carrot Cake and a nostalgic Apple Crumble Tart, to the Rhubarb & Ginger Macaron first introduced in 2018. And, of course, our Malt Chocolate Cake, finished with the unmistakable joy of a Malteser - requested time and time again.
Served alongside a selection of delicate finger sandwiches, our Traditional Afternoon Tea is the perfect sweet treat. Make it extra special with a sharing cocktail or a glass of Laurent-Perrier Brut Champagne.
Savoury High Tea
Our Savoury High Tea celebrates the past 10 years with a line-up of firm favourites - and proudly British ones at that. Expect mini Yorkshire pudding with braised beef short rib, katsu chicken scotch egg, sun-blushed tomato arancini with basil pesto, a battered fish roll with spiced tartare sauce, and a pork & blue cheese sausage roll, finished with a cheese selection to round things off perfectly.
Make it extra special with one of our sharing cocktails, or raise a glass with a crisp sparkling wine or Laurent-Perrier Brut Champagne.

Newby
The world’s most awarded luxury tea brand, Newby was founded in London at the turn of the millennium.
The tea leaves used are among the finest available. Only first and second flush leaves, those picked in prime season from March to July go into Newby products. Newby prides itself on delivering a premium brand and the best teas available globally. Fulfilled only owing to a devoted and discerning process from field to cup, which Newby like to call, ‘the craft of fine tea.’
Laurent-Perrier
Founded in 1812, Laurent-Perrier is one of the most distinguished, family-owned Champagne Houses.
Based in the heart of the Champagne region in Tours-sur-Marne, Laurent-Perrier has a pedigree for handcrafting elegant champagnes using traditional and time-honoured methods. There are eight champagnes in the award-winning Laurent-Perrier range, from the iconic Cuvée Rosé to delicious Blanc de Blancs (Brut Nature) and the luxurious Grand Siècle by Laurent-Perrier. The champagne's style is one of freshness and lightness making it a superb accompaniment to an decadent afternoon tea spread.
Dark Woods Coffee
Dark Woods Coffee is an adventurous coffee roaster, Barista school, and pop-up café nestled on the edge of Marsden village in the West Yorkshire Pennines.
Though Dark Woods was born in 2013, the history of its founding partners takes in many years’ experience in roasting, sourcing, consultancy, training and machine development within the UK coffee industry. It is this collective knowledge and expertise which allowed them to rapidly grow a customer base which includes some of the country’s top cafés and restaurants.
